Distribution of rice for White Ration Card holders in Hyderabad postponed

Hyderabad: Chief Rationing Officer of Hyderabad B. Bala Maya Devi on Thursday informed that the distribution of rice to the Food Security Cardholders will not be commenced from Friday (March 27).

The CRO, in a press release, said that the requirement of rice @ 12kg per head to the Food Security Cardholders is 26,377.760 Mts and which has to be positioned to 674 Fair Price Shops located at various locations in Hyderabad district.

Further, in addition to the Fair Price Shops, the rice will be distributed through the departmental officials by identifying 18 centres for smooth and hygienic distribution.

“Due to certain constrains, the required quantity of rice is still under the process of positioning at the Fair Price Shops.

Therefore, it is regretted to inform that the distribution of rice to the Food Security Cardholders will not be commenced from tomorrow. Information on commencement of distribution of rice will be informed shortly,” the CRO said. (INN)
