Endowments Dept asks encroachers to vacate temple lands

Hyderabad: The Endowments Department of Telangana Government on Thursday warned of stern action against those who encroached upon the endowment lands.

“It is observed that some people with vested interests have encroached upon endowment lands. All such encroachers are hereby directed to vacate these lands immediately and hand over to the concerned temple authorities,” the Endowment Commissioner said in a press release today.

The Commissioner said that Endowment Department would initiative action for evicting encroachers under the provisions of the Endowment Act and also initiate criminal action.

“Therefore, to avoid such penal action, all encroachers have been given this last opportunity to vacate land and handover the encroacher lands to the concerned temple authorities immediately,” he said. (INN)
