Rahul Gandhi asked the newly joined leaders to work hard to bring Congress party to power in Telangana State in next elections.

Speaking to media persons later, Uttam Kumar Reddy said instead of taking the country on the path of growth, Prime Minister Narender Modi’s Government has been dividing the nation on the basis of caste and religion.

He said Nagam Janardhan Reddy has joined quit the BJP and joined the Congress as he was not happy with the anti-people policies of Modi Government. He said the Congress party would gain strength with the joining of Gadar’s son Surya Kiran and other leaders.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the BJP Government at the Centre and TRS Government in Telangana have failed on all fronts. He said both Modi and KCR have caused immense damage to the society with the wrong policies. He said Rahul Gandhi becoming Prime Minister of India after 2019 elections was inevitable.

While interacting with media persons, Nagam said that KCR has failed to fulfil the promises that he made with the people even after four years. He said Telangana was still in the grip of poverty and unemployment and farmers were not getting remunerative prices for their produce.

He alleged that KCR Government has been looting the State’s resources. He also accused TRS of acting like an ally of BJP. For the same reasons, he said he had quit the BJP to join Congress. He vowed to expose the corruption of KCR and his family members.

Nagam dismissed media reports which claimed that his entry into Congress party was being opposed by existing leaders.

Surya Kiran said he was impressed by Rahul Gandhi’s latest campaign of ‘Save The Constitution’ and it prompted him to join the Congress party. He said his decision enjoys the support of his father and baladeer singer Gadar.

He also denied being a member of any Maoist group and said he had full faith in electoral democracy. (INN)
