Hyderabad: Finance Minister Harish Rao inaugurated the 100-bed COVID-19 hospital in Siddipet on Wednesday.
The Minister visited the isolation wards personally and enquired with doctors about the care being given to the patients.
He also asked about the energy drinks that would be offered to patients and their use. The hospital consists of 20 oxygen-containing ICU beds and 80 beds for the treatment of suspected and asymptomatic patients.
ZP Chairman Veleti Roja Radhakrishna, MLC Farooq Hussain, additional Muzzamil Khan Collector, Tamil Arasu Principal Medical College, medical officers and doctors were present.
The 100-bed hospital has been set up in the District Hospital. Earlier, the Minister ordered the District Collector to approve Rs 6.50 lakh on the basis of war in order to carry out repair work in the hospital.
Earlier that day, the Minister inaugurated a mini-park near the clock tower at the court junction in Siddipet District. The park was built by the Siddipet Urban Development Authority (SUDA) at the cost of Rs 4 lakh.
Speaking after the inauguration, Minister Harish Rao said that all the junctions are being built as part of the embellishment of Siddipet. (INN)
