Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy said that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was planning to strengthen its Information Technology department to provide better civic amenities to the citizens.
This was discussed in a special meeting attended by the GHMC Commissioner, Central for Good Governance Director Rajendra Nimje and other officials of NIC, GHMC and CGG at GHMC Headquarters on Monday.
While interacting with the officials, Dr. Janardhan Reddy said that the GHMC App should be made more interactive so as to address the grievances of common people. He said citizens should have easy access to the authorities to express their problems and get them resolved.
He said systems were being updated to facilitate online payment of Property Tax and other main activities like Mutations, Trade License etc.,
The GHMC chief urged the CGG authorities to help in completing the works pertaining to updating of the corporation’s website on priority. With the help of its website, the GHMC is also planning to involve various NGOs to take up social responsibilities. (INN)
