GHMC to depute Mobile Vans to create awareness on EVMs, VVPats

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and Hyderabad District Electoral Officer M. Dana Kishore informed that in order to create awareness about the working of EVMs and VVPats, the GHMC would deploy three Modernized Mobile Vans.

The GHMC officials are planning to educate the voters where one EVM and one VVPats will be provided for two Wards and one Model Polling Station is being organized at GHMC Head Office with all available machinery to have a clear transparency to the officials and staff to perform their duties in a more appropriate way.

To this effect the DEO has inspected the Mobile Van equipped with EVMs and VVPats for creating awareness to the citizens at GHMC Head Office today.

While interacting with the Media Persons the DEO said that the Modernized and latest EVMs and VVPats working process will be highlighted through publicity campaign to the citizens / voters to have a clear knowledge of voting. With regard to Hyderabad District, Secunderabad, Khairtabad, Charminar zones three Mobile Vans have been deployed for the above said purpose.

Apart from this one EVM and One VVPats will be provided for 2 Wards where the demonstrations will be given at the Community Halls, Parks, Ward Offices to create awareness for this purpose.

The CEO has been requested to provide 100 EVMS and VVPats, the first phase of verification of EVMs and VVPats is going on at Victory Play Ground, Chaderghat and this process will be completed in 3 to 4 days, the DEO added.

The DEO further stated that all basic minimum facilities are being taken care for physically challenged, separate awareness campaign are being conducted in three main centres. (INN)
