Godavari Water level crosses third warning mark

Hyderabad: District officials issued a third warning, as on Sunday afternoon the water level in the Godavari river crossed the 53-foot mark at Bhadrachalam.

The water level at Bhadrachalam Pushkar Ghat at 3 pm in Godavari River was 53.50 feet with discharge of 13, 92, 687 cusecs of water, the District Collector MV Reddy told.

With no let-up in the level of floodwater in the Godavari river following heavy rains, 10 district villages were flooded. While on Saturday more than 60 villages and 20 tribal hamlets were cut off following rains in West Godavari district. (INN)
