Speaking in the Legislative Council, the Deputy CM said that the government was committed to regularizing the services of the contract lectures but the process has to face legal tangles after students of Osmania University approached the High Court challenging the government’s decision to regularize the services of the contract staff.
The Deputy CM said that the government would resume the process as soon as the Court clears the same. He said that the government has hiked the salaries of contract lecturers.
He said that the salaries of junior lecturers were increased from Rs 18,000 to 27,000 and for degree lecturers salaries were hiked from Rs 20,000 to 31,000.
He said that the government had identified educational institutions running without recognition and warned of initiating action against them. (INN)
