Harish Rao asks BJP to prove its commitment for Telangana

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Thursday challenged BJP leaders to get the High Court bifurcated to prove their commitment towards Telangana.

Addressing a press conference at TRS Legislature Party office along with Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy and MP Balka Suman, Harish Rao said BJP leaders were making fake and tall claims.

He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has given a perfect counter to the allegations of BJP National President Amit Shah.

He said BJP leaders have no answers to the questions raised by the Chief Minister. He said against the collection of Rs. 50,000 crore towards Central Taxes, the Centre has been giving only Rs. 24,000 crore to Telangana.

This clearly shows that it is the Telangana State which is helping the Central Government and not vice-versa.

Harish Rao demanded that the BJP Government at the Centre accord national project status to one irrigation project in the State.

He said the Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha initiatives were being appreciated all across the country. However, he said that the Central Government did not release a single rupee for these schemes. (INN)
