Nizamabad: Minister for Excise and Prohibition Padma Rao said that Harita Haram, the green drive, launched by the state government was a huge success and the results of the drive would provide long terms benefits for the people.
Participating in the afforestation drive in Nizamabad along with district officials and party leaders, Padma Rao said that state government has released Rs 35 crore for taking up toddy tree plantation across the state.
Accordingly, 5 crore toddy tree saplings would be planted in the next three years. He also said that the liquor cooperative societies which were shut down would be permitted again within a month. (INN)
