HC dismisses petition against TS Assembly dissolution

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday dismissed the petition which challenged the dissolution of Telangana Legislative Assembly before the completion of its full term.

The petitioner, Rapolu Bhaskar, an advocate, had described the early dissolution of Assembly as unconstitutional and arbitrary. He also argued that the advancement of Assembly elections would also lead to waste of public money and resources.

However, the High Court dismissed the petition while wondering how the dissolution of the Assembly could be called unconstitutional. The court said that it does not want to interfere in the legislative procedures.
