Health Minister Eatala Rajendar visits TIMS

Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender visited the Telangana Medical Sciences Institute (TIMS) hospital in Gachibowli here on Sunday.

The minister said the care for Covid-19 in government hospitals is not costly, and it costs less than Rs 10,000. He said many Covid-19 medical centers are open to citizens in all of the state’s districts.

There is King Koti hospital, Sarojini, TIMS, and Gandhi hospital in Hyderabad which is exclusively for patients with Covid-19.

Etala indicated that Covid-19 hospitals have enough beds and urged people at government hospitals to get their care. He inquired as to the medical services given to the victims of Covid-19. He checked the kitchen, the dining room and the quarantine area as well.

The minister, speaking to the media on the occasion, said the staff at the Gandhi hospital are serving Covid-19 patients with dedication. He has urged officials to turn TIMS into a full Covid-19 hub.

TIMS has 1,350 beds, laboratories, and ICU facilities, he said. The hospital also had doctors , nurses and all the medicines required to treat Covid-19 patients, Rajender said.

The minister said that if we recognise the symptoms and get treated for them soon after seeing some of the virus symptoms, Covid-19 is 100 percent curable.

Some of the Covid-19 patients have been found to be suffering from lung infection, and even after receiving oxygen they face trouble breathing.

He said he spoke to some of the TIMS Covid-19 patients and they expressed joy about the care that hospital staff receive. “We put liquid oxygen in hospitals such as Fever, Osmania, Sarojini, King Koti and Warangal” Rajender said. (INN)
