Hyderabad: Heat wave continued in many parts of Telangana State on Wednesday although a few areas also witnessed heavy rainfall.
According to Met Department, heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Nalgonda of Telangana and heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Medchel Malkajgiri district of Telangana.
The Highest Maximum Temperature of 45.4 Degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad, followed by 45 Deg Cel in Nalgonda and Nizamabad, 44 in Ramagundam, 43 Deg Cel in Khammam and Medak and 42 Deg Cel in Hanamkonda and Hyderabad.
The Met Department has extended the heat wave warning till May 26 and advised people not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions.
Meanwhile, nearly 7 mm of rainfall was recorded in Hakimpet Stn, 4 mm in Asifabad and 2 mm in Hyderabad and Shadnagar. (INN)
