Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday directed officials and individuals to remain alert and cautious with the issuance of a warning by the Indian Meteorological Department predicting moderate to very heavy rains across the state over the next two days.
Heavy rains have been lashing at several places across the State since Saturday evening.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar was ordered by the Chief Minister to keep the whole administration on high alert.
He wanted the Chief Secretary to control the situation at regular intervals with the district collectors, police superintendents and police commissioners, and to take the required relief steps.
The officials were instructed to remain stationed at their headquarters and reply to individuals in order to prevent unnecessary losses of life and property. He also urged people to remain vigilant as flooding could result from the heavy rains. (INN)
