High Court to be closed for Sankranti from 8th to 17th Jan

Hyderabad: The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will be closed for Sankranti vacation from 8th to 17th January (both days inclusive).

During the vacation, one Division Bench of Justice S.V. Bhatt and Justice U. Durga Prasad Rao and Single Bench of Justice A. Ramalingeswara Rao will be sitting in the High Court on January 11. After completion of Division Bench work, the judges will take up Single Bench matter.

The vacation judges will hold the court to hear matters pertaining to Habeas Corpus, Anticipatory bail, Bail applications, if bail is refused by Magistrates and Sessions Judges/Additional Sessions Judge; Any other urgent matter, which cannot wait till the end of vacation (such as eviction/dispossession, demolition, etc.) specifically permitted by the Senior Vacation Judge.

Notice of any application of urgent nature should be given to the Vacation Officers before 1.30 pm on the day of filing (January 9), according to a press released by the Registrar General. (INN)
