HMWSSB cuts water supply to State Home

Hyderabad, March 29 : The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has disconnected the water connection of State Home at Yousufguda for non-payment of bills. The State Home has about 700 inmates, including conjoined twins Vaani and Veena and other old age persons and children.

According to sources, the State Board has not paid the water bills for the last four years amount to nearly Rs. 24 lakh. Despite serving several notices, the State Home authorities did not respond which consequently led to disconnection of water supply about three days ago.
