Hyderabad: HydCop Mobile App has been adjudged World Summit Award winner in the category of ‘Government & Citizen Engagement’ for the year 2017.
Hyderabad COP is one among the 40 Winners selected from over 400 nominations from 180 countries by WSA.
The WSA winners were selected by a Jury of international ICT experts in two democratic rounds. Each UN Member State is eligible to nominate one product per category for the World Summit Award. This way any nomination results from a national pre-selection prior to the international WSA Jury.
Almost 400 submissions from 180 UN Member States participated in this year’s WSA contest, the competition was tough and the selection process competitive.
HYDCOP’s nomination for WSA, was qualified for being reviewed by an international jury, who met for the final round of evaluations last week in Berlin, Germany.
The jurors did lots of research, engaged in passionate discussions and worked long evenings – to decide on the 40 WSA winners 2017.
The WSA winners 2017 will present their innovations and receive their awards at the WSA Global Congress in Vienna, Austria (March 20-22 2018). The agenda of the WSA Congress will be a compilation of interaction and inspiration, assembling workshops and inspiring keynotes, bringing together the global and multi-stakeholder network of WSA.
