Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao called on President of India Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday and invited him to attend the centenary celebrations of Osmania University being held in the month of April.
Accompanied with Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, MPs K. Keshava Rao, Jithender Reddy, B. Vinod Kumar and Seetharam Naik, KCR requested the President to attend the OU centenary celebrations being organised from 26th to 28th April.
Later, the Chief Minister called on Union HRD Minister Prakash Javedkar and also invited him to the OU’s centenary celebrations. He also sought special funds for the development of Osmania University.
He also urged the Union Minister to grant Kendriya Vidyalayas for all districts of Telangana State. He also wanted the Centre to sanction one Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for the State. (INN)
