KTR at FICCI: Telangana State on Development Track

Hyderabad: Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that Telangana was making strides in the development and is ahead of major states in terms of growth and development.

Speaking at the national executive meet of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in Hyderabad on Monday, KTR said that the State was facing a slew of issue soon after its formation.

However, the TRS government dealt these issues successfully. The state which was power-starved then, has now successfully overcome the issue.

The new industrial policy by the state government has created a viable atmosphere for various multinational companies to start their business here. The single window clearance, first of its kind in the country has brought a revolution in the IT sector.

About 2300 companies were given clearance in over a fortnight last month, the minister said while highlighting the state government’s achievements in the industrial sector.

The minister said that Hyderabad stood second in the IT services. About 30,000 jobs were created in the sector, the minister added.

The minister said that world class Pharma City would come up in the city soon. (INN)
