Hyderabad: Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Sunday inaugurated a Panchatatva Park in Indira Park with a walkway based on the idea of Acupressure.
Speaking at the opening of the facility, the Minister announced that the GHMC has built 17 theme parks in the city in accordance with the aspirations of the Chief Minister, K.Chandrashekar Rao, to provide people with a good atmosphere.
The Panchatatva Park has crosswalk, infinity walk, yoga shed,’ Rasi Vanam,’ open gym and herbal plants, and has facilities for different age groups, he said, which was built at a cost of Rs.17 lakhs at the Indira Park. There is also a proposal to have one more open gym as around 6,500 to 6,800 were visiting Indira Park.
The GHMC has taken significant steps to develop parks in the region, including the construction of 300 tree parks and 50 theme-based parks.
Centered on the five elements of nature (Panchabhutas), the Accupressure design walkway is created: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether, each with its own character and celestial elements.
The Panchatatva walk is a circular track created with eight walk-over elements, including 20 mm stone, 10 mm stone, 6 mm chips, river stone, rough sand, tree bark, black soil and water.
Walking is carried out from a very hard surface to a smooth and soothing portion through which the movement of blood in the body enhances the healing of many body ailments. It also supports senior citizens and people who have knee joint discomfort and are unable to walk longer distances.
The inner circle is split into nine parts and Navagrahas-related plants are planted in the boxes along with varieties of herbal plants, making people believe that they are performing parikramas around the Navagrahas.
Additionally, plants linked to zodiac signs and nakshatras are planted around the route. (INN)
