A young lady author inspired VVS Laxman, confessed the ace cricketer during the launch of a new book in Hyderabad at Phoenix Arena Park in Hitech City yesterday.
Referring to the author of ‘Upon A Red Bench’, the cricket commentator said Pallavi Rebbapragada was an inspiration for him. He formally launched her book in Hyderabad at event organized by Hyd Park.
He informed the audience at the book launch that he knew her since childhood, and also knew that she’s a die-hard fan of Rahul Dravid.
Speaking about her qualities, he likened her with Rahul Dravid and his qualities of perseverance, patience and sacrifice.
“What I really admire is that she’s following her passion. That’s what I did in my life,” remarked VVS Laxman.
“Cricket was my passion. I did everything possible to become the best cricketer I could be. And that’s what she is doing,” he revealed .
The cricketer further said that doing stories which were not conventional was her strength.
“She’s defied logic. She’s defied conventional thinking. That’s what I think you have to really appreciate her guts and courage. In my life I have defied conventional thinking,” Laxman noted.
