Hyderabad: In a major relief to the applicants of the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS), the State Government has decided to charge a regularisation fee based on the land value rather than the current registration amount.
Minister of Municipal Administration, KT Rama Rao has made an announcement to the State Legislative Assembly in this regard and has announced that a new government order will be released within a few days to amend the previous order.
The State Government has taken the decision as a result of rising demands from the general public.
The State Government has released a notification for the introduction of the LRS as a last-minute measure in both urban and rural areas of the State to put an end to illegal layouts in the State.
The move came after the government agreed to ban the registration of parcels purchased in illegal formats in order to ensure a planned and sustainable development.
Only formats and parcels with recorded sales deeds / title existing as of 26 August of this year shall be considered for regularisation on payment of the approved fees.
Applicants were advised to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000 for individuals and Rs 10,000 for software developers. Upon acceptance, the applicants should pay all the specified fees before January 31, 2021. (INN)
