Hyderabad: Retired judge Justice Chandra Kumar expressed displeasure over the way the government handled the protests against the Mallannasagar project and said that the people have every right to protest and the put their views on every issue.
Speaking to the Mallannasagar project oustees here on Wednesday, Justice Chandra Kumar said that TRS Government was making the lives of farmers miserable in the name of projects.
He found fault with Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao for terming the protests against the project as false and provoked by the opposition parties.
He said, “Did you and your party not take to protest during the Telangana statehood movement. There is nothing wrong if the people protest against the government’s decision. You must listen to the woes of the protesting people.” (INN)
