Hyderabad: The School of Sciences, Maulana Azad National Urdu University has introduced two Bachelor of Vocational courses, Medical Imaging Technology (MIT) and Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), from the new academic year.
Both the courses are approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) under National Skill Qualification Frame Work (NSQF). On successful completion of these courses there is a possibility of 100% placement at leading Corporate/Government Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and Old Age Homes etc. The admission will be on merit basis.
The School has 5 departments namely, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. All these departments are offering admissions in Ph.D. and B.Sc. Programmes (MPC, MPCS and ZBC) and M.Sc. in mathematics. To facilitate the entry of Madrassa passouts into main stream of education, the school also offers bridge course.
Admissions into Ph.D. programmes are offered through entrance test whereas for M.Sc. (mathematics), B.Sc. and bridge course admissions are merit based. The school also operate Polytechnic colleges at Hyderabad, Bangalore, Darbhanga, Cuttack and Kadapa where admissions are given through entrance in Polytechnic diploma in (Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Apparel & Automobile) engineering and most of the polytechnic passouts have got jobs through campus placements.
The departments have well established and fully equipped Labs. The faculty members of sciences have rich teaching & Research experience with diverse research interests in their subjects. Under their guidance & supervision all round development of student’s personality is ensured.
The University with the mandate to equip Urdu speaking population of the country with conventional & modern knowledge, took the step of linking Urdu medium of education with the Science by establishing School of Sciences in the year 2006.
The main objective of the Science Programs is to turn natural curiosity of humans in creation of new knowledge that make studying science as attractive as learning to find solutions to the problems in addressing the needs of the society.
Science Education is important in the development of nation in many areas. All programmes are offered in Urdu medium. The e-prospectus and online application forms are available on the University website, www.manuu.ac.in. The last date for submission of online application for entrance test based courses is 1 st May, 2019 whereas for merit based courses the last date is 30th June, 2019.
