State Minorities Commission is going to organize a seminar commemorating the 127th birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on November 11 at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad.
The event is aimed at emphasis on education, secularism, tolerance and national integration, said Minorities Commission chairman Abid Rasool Khan. Deputy Chief ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been invited for the seminar.
Besides this, important personalities, heads of all religious groups and leaders of various political parties have also been invited for the program. Commission would honor the eminent personalities who have worked in education, medical aid and other social domains. The event would commence at 3 pm on the day.
The event would represent a true spirit of secularism by wishing Diwali wishes to the Hindus by lighting a lamp. The major objective of the event was to spread a message of brother hood and tolerance.
Birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is celebrated as National Minorities Day and Education Day across the country. Amidst a widespread intolerant atmosphere in the country, the seminar would provide a platform for people from various religious groups to discuss the common grounds of unity and integrity, said Abid Rasool Khan.
