Hyderabad: IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao is one amongst the few Indian politicians who are extremely active on social media platforms. Reaching a significant mark on Twitter, KT Rama Rao joined the 1 million followers club on Friday.
Minister KT Rama Rao uses Twitter as a medium to not only share updates about various initiatives and programs of the state government, but also to connect with citizens on a regular basis. Be it responding to SOS messages from netizens in distress or his witty tweets, KTR has won millions of hearts across the globe, within a short span of time.
There are dozens of instances where KTR has responded within minutes of receiving an SoS tweet from someone in distress. He has an efficient back-office team, which then jumps in and extends assistance to the needy.
It is interesting to note that Minister KTR had about 50,000 followers exactly two years back, when he led the TRS Party to victory in the GHMC elections.
Minister KTR also conducts regular interactions with Twitteratti with the hashtag #AskKTR to engage with his followers.
Reacting to this milestone, KT Rama Rao tweeted a poster with the quote ‘A Million Thanks’ and wrote: “Let’s stay connected.” Wishes kept pouring in from all quarters as Twitteratti noticed that the Minister’s handle has reached the One Million milestone.
Minister for Excise Padma Rao, Mayor Bonthu Ram mohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin were among the several leaders who congratulated KT Rama Rao for achieving a significant milestone. Andrew Fleming, Deputy High Commissioner to Telangana & Andhra Pradesh tweeted “My congratulations to KT Rama Rao too; as I told him when we met recently his positive connection and interaction with people is most impressive & clearly appreciated by many.” (INN)
