Modi government failed, says Telangana Congress

Hyderabad, May 26 (INN): Taking a dig at the two years NDA led union government senior Congress leaders on Thursday alleged that Modi Government was failed in almost all fronts.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Modi government failed in all the major areas of public welfare. He said that farming sector, industries, and education were most hit during these two years of NDA rule in the country.

He said that farm production across the country was down by nearly 4% in the past two years. Union Government has no clarity on the developmental agenda in any sector. It has deceived the people of nation by its false promises, he said.

AICC spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Prof Rajiv Gouda on this occasion alleged that NDA rule in the country in the past two years was full of failures. He said that Modi government had proved itself a Kisam Virodhi government by not giving the farmers what was promised and by resorting to snatch away their lands in the name of Land Bill.

“Almost all the sectors including Agriculture, Foreign policy, employment creation, containing corruption, maintaining peace and tranquility and others,” he said.

Modi government had promised to enhance 50 per cent MSP but released 0.4 per cent so far, he alleged. He said that drought, lower agriculture productivity, decreased number of days of NREGS and suicides rattling the country but the Modi government behaved indifferently.

He said that Modi promised to provide two crore jobs per annum but created only 1.64 lakh jobs thus clearly deceiving the youth of the country. He said that unemployment across the country still looms large.

The foreign policy of the NDA government is also a complete failure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been visiting several countries but failed to make a mark with a wise foreign policy, he alleged.

Modi government’s foreign policy can be defined by four words viz., inconsistent, illogical, inept and incompetent, he said.

Coming down heavily upon Modi, AICC spokesperson Rajiv Gouda said that this government failed to contain corruption and rather facilitated the brazen corruption in many sectors.
