Not politicizing farmers’ issues: Kodandaram

Hyderabad: Telangana JAC chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram on Tuesday demanded the state government to release input subsidy to the farmers who lost their crops due to the heavy rains in the state last month. He demanded the state government to compensate the farmers at the earliest.

The TJAC chief visited Sadasivapet in Sangareddy district and inspected the damaged crops and interacted with the farmers. He inspected damaged crops like cotton, maize crop.

Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Prof. Kodandaram said that there were no politics behind his struggle for the farmers’ issues. He said that he was only doing his duty as a responsible citizen.

He said that it was also the duty of the government to ensure speedy disbursal of the compensation and other relief for the farmers who are suffering due to various issues concerning the farm sector in the state.

The government should not try to find out any political angle in the farmers’ struggle and should concentrate on solving the issues. (INN)
