Over 24,000 inter first year students skip exams

Hyderabad: As many as 24,442 or 4.85% of 503,429 registered candidates of intermediate first year abstained from the Chemistry Paper – I and Commerce (Old & New) Paper – I exams conducted by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education on Tuesday.

A total of 26 students were booked for malpractice across Telangana. They include five cases each in Medak and Yadadri, four each in Nalgonda and Jangaon; three in Medak; two each in Jagtial and Warangal Urban and one each in Warangal Rural, Khammam and Vikarabad districts.

According to TSBIE, examinations were conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents. (INN)
