Over 96% candidates appear for inter exam

Hyderabad: More than 96% candidates of first year intermediate appeared for the English Paper-I exam held across Telangana State on Saturday by the Board of Intermediate Education.

Of 493,996 general and vocational candidates, as many as 473,480 appeared for the English Paper-I exam. A total of 20,519 or 4.15% abstained from it.

A total of 10 cases of malpractice were booked which include 4 cases in Mahabubnagar, three cases in Bhadradari Kothagudem and one case each in Medak, Nirmal and Suryapet.

Observers from Board were sent to Mahabubnagar, Medak, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Yadadri and Ranga Reddy districts. Except 10 malpractice cases, examinations have been conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents. (INN)
