Police impose prohibitory orders around Assembly

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police have imposed a ban on processions, dharnas, demonstrations or public meetings within four kilometers radius of the Telangana Legislative Assembly buildings.

“In order to ensure smooth conduct of Telangana Legislative Assembly/Council Monsoon Sessions, elaborate security and bandobust arrangements have been made by deploying 3,000 police personnel drawn from Hyderabad City and other parts of the State.

Measures have been taken to have strict access control, anti-sabotage checks, etc., Only authorized persons will be allowed to enter into the Legislative Assembly/Council premises,” Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy said on Wednesday.

The Commissioner urged the people to ensure that prohibitory orders are strictly followed. “Any individual or group of individuals or organisations found violating the prohibitory orders shall be sternly dealt with according to the law,” he warned. (INN)
