Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Tuesday instructed the revenue officials to expand the free registration and mutation services via the Dharani Portal to people as envisaged by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
He appealed to the revenue workers to live up to the standards of the Chief Minister for the effective implementation of the Dharani Portal by providing services in a clear , transparent and timely manner without any discretionary powers.
He said that registration and mutation would be done immediately under the portal. Dharani would have been a trend-setter in the region, he said.
Addressing the training programme of Dharani officials and employees of the revenue and registration departments, Somesh Kumar said that Dharani would be launched by the Chief Minister on 29 October.
Through a powerpoint presentation on the working of the portal, Slot Booking, People Open Portal, Successor Modules and Partition Modules were explained. The functions and responsibilities of Tahsildars and data entry operators have also been clarified in depth.
The Chief Secretary noted that the position of the revenue department would be multiplied as it would henceforth act as joint sub-registrars. He encouraged the revenue workers to work as a team and add a good image to the government. The government, he said, was committed to resolving issues related to the revenue department.
He said that a state level control room will be set up to resolve technical issues. Similarly, the technical support staff at the district level will address problems at the district level. For this reason, the requisite infrastructure should be in place in all the offices, he added.
