Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday said the state government has given top priority to public health and improving facilities in government hospitals.
The Minister spoke at the Sircilla district headquarters hospital after the inauguration of a liquid oxygen tank, Covid patient ward and dialysis center. While the liquid oxygen tank was set up at a cost of Rs 40 lakh, five dialysis units at a cost of Rs 50 lakh were set up.
Rama Rao later met with patients who visited the hospital for care and asked about the services, the treatment, the medical staff’s response, and the hospital problems they encountered.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said one of the government’s top priorities was public health. The government’s main goal was to provide quality care for individuals visiting government hospitals, and to this end, different facilities are being built in hospitals, he said.
Speaking about the Sircilla hospital, Rama Rao said there should be no problems for people visiting the government hospital.
He said it was the obligation of doctors and hospital personnel to provide people with quality treatment.
The programme was attended by TSCAB Chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, Zilla Parishad Chairman Nyalakonda Aruna, Municipal Chairman Jindam Kala, Collector D Krishnabhaskar, Hospital Superintendent Dr Muralidhar Rao, physicians, workers and others. (INN)
