Revision of Electoral Rolls to continue till Sept 25

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and Hyderabad District Election Officer (DEO) M. Dana Kishore said that the process of Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls will continue till 25th of this month where Additions, Deletions, Inclusions are being taken up in the Electoral Rolls.

In this connection, a meeting with the representatives of various political parties have been conducted wherein the representatives have given their suggestions with regard to BLOS and Supervisory Officers that how the work is being taking place and represented their problems which are being faced at the ground level.

The DEO said that till Friday (21.09.2018) as many as 77,622 Form Nos. 6,7,8 etc., have been received in which 50% of them on were online and remaining 50% through applications submitted to the BLOs and other allotted centres for which enquiry process is being taken up.

Duplicate voters are also being processed with proper care with enquires etc., the Dead voters list has been prepared through death certificate verification duly giving notices to the concerned. Without issuing the notice the death voters names are not being deleted, said the DEO.

The officials are visiting the houses of dead voters with Form No. 7 and requesting them to submit for taking up the process and requesting them to submit for the process of deletions. Around 4,000 votes of dead persons have been identified.

The DEO said that till 25th September all applications will be received and by 8th October the Electoral Rolls will publish as per the guidelines of the ECI. The EROs/DCs are working day and night with deploying sufficient Data Entry Operators and directions were also given to them to increase the Data Entry Operators wherever need is there, said the DEO.
