Khammam: Stating that the TRS government has taken numerous initiatives to strengthen power sector in the state,
Ministers Jagadish Reddy and Tummala Nageshwar Rao said that the farmers need not worry if they were not being supplied power to their farm.
Instead of staging dharna, farmers should waste no time and submit an application in this regard to the authorities who would ensure that power is supplied to their farms at the earliest.
The ministers were speaking at a programme after inaugurating power sub-station at Kistapur in Sattupalli mandal in the district. The minister said that the state government effectively tackled electric scarcity in the state within two years of coming to power.
The state government is now providing quality power for nine hours and the government is now planning to supply power round the clock to farmers.
The ministers said that Sattupalli was producing palm-oil which is sufficient enough to the state.
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao wants to see lush green fields in the district and has directed us to ensure enough measures are taken to help farmers in the districts thrive, the ministers added. (INN)
