Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Ravindra Gupta issued instructions to provide retro reflective jackets to all the safety category staff to avoid untoward incidents during the work.
He undertook an extensive review of Safety during the prevailing situation and Punctuality of the trains on the Zone. All the Principal Heads of the Departments were present during the review meeting. \
Divisional Railway Managers (DRM’s) of all the 6 Divisions on SCR viz., Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded attended the review meeting through video conference held on Friday at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.
The General Manager held review of Division wise position for the safety situation and issued instructions to be highly alert. He advised the Divisional Railway Managers to take up intensive ambush checks to ensure safety at both manned and unmanned level crossing gates.
He also directed the Divisions to be cautious about rail breakages, rail burnings etc. He further advised the Divisions to ensure enough stocks and availability of required spare parts to quickly attend the technical issues on time.
He advised the DRMs to implement all the time tested safety procedures without fail as part of ensuring safety and punctuality.
He also advised the Divisions to identify erring field staff and impart training through audio-visual modules and enable them to work as per the laid down procedures.
Additional General Manager A.K. Gupta, Principal Chief Engineer S.N. Singh, Chief Operations Manager N. Madhusudhana Rao, Chief Commercial Manager P. Ganeswara Rao and other senior officials were also present. (INN)
