Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Ravindra Gupta inspected the progress of ongoing 3rd Railway Line Works between Peddampet-Manchiryal Railway stations on the Kazipet – Balharshah section of Secunderabad Division on Thursday.
He was accompanied by Ashesh Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division, Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Officials of the Division.
The 3rd line, (patch tripling) under progress between Peddampet-Manchiryal include construction of a major bridge across river Godavari.
On completion of the works, rail traffic on the route will see a sizeable smooth movement, since it falls on the Grand Trunk North-South rail corridor and is one of the busiest rail route.
The General Manager also inspected the availability of passenger amenities at Manchiryal Railway station and reviewed the progress of infra structure works here.
He also reviewed the station development plan with the Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other officials.
In the return, the General Manager conducted a rear window inspection from Manchriyal to Kazipet to assess the condition of the rail network. (INN)
