Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy enthralled the party workers and leaders to strengthen the organisastion right from polling booth to State level to defeat the TRS in next elections.
In a live interaction with Congress party workers on social media platform Facebook on Thursday, Uttam Kumar Reddy directed them to get themselves enrolled on Shakti App, a special platform designed by Congress president Rahul Gandhi himself to strengthen the organisation at the national level.
He said by registering themselves on Shakti App, it would be easier for both the party leadership and workers to share their videos, pictures and messages.
He said the programme would empower the individual party workers to give their suggestions directly to Rahul Gandhi, PCC President and other top leadership. They can also share their activities with other party men, he said.
Immediately after receiving the call, Uttam Kumar Reddy asked each worker whether or not he registered himself on Shakti App.
Any Congress worker or leader can enrol himself/herself by simply sending his/her Voter ID Number as SMS to mobile number 7996179961. Within 24 hours, the applicant would get message acknowledging his/her registration.
The TPCC chief said that the Shakti App has been specially designed to ensure coordination and networking among all Congress workers. This will also help in giving recognition to leaders and workers who are working hard for the people and party in their respective areas.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that there indications of early polls in October or November this year. Therefore, all Congress workers should be fully ready to face and win the next elections.
He said the workers and leaders should focus on strengthening the organisation at all levels if they wish to defeat the TRS and bring Congress party to power.
Replying to a call made by a Congress worker Dinesh Yadav from Hyderabad, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party has been giving prominence to BC leaders.
He said many important posts, including the Hyderabad DCC President has been given a BC leader. He said BCs would get a lion share in the tickets for 17 Lok Sabha seats of Telangana.
He reiterated that only Congress party could ensure social justice and appropriate representation would be given to people belonging to SC, ST, BC and minorities.
