Hyderabad: Telangana registered 146 new COVID incidents, bringing the cumulative tally to 2.96,574 in the state. On February 13, two new deaths were confirmed, bringing the total death tally to 1,616.
The state’s fatality rate is 0.54%, which is less than the 1.4% national average.
As many as 29 new cases were reported in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation district, while 11 new cases were reported in Rangareddy.
The decline in cases is seen in the districts of Telangana. MedchalMalkajigir and Karimnagar both registered 9 cases each, respectively.
On Saturday, roughly 177 people recovered from the outbreak, raising the overall recovery tally to 2,93,210. According to the government, the recovery rate now stands at 98.86%, which is around one percent higher than the national average of 97.3%.
On Saturday, the government screened 26,274 people for the virus. There have been 82,95,638 samples checked in the state so far. Per million people, samples checked stand at 2,22,881. Even, there are 656 records awaited.
Currently, the state has 1.748 open incidents. Of the total active cases, 749 are in isolation at home. Of the overall positive cases, 70% are asymptomatic and do not have any significant symptoms of distress, while 30% are symptomatic. (
