Hyderabad: Telangana registered 189 new COVID incidents on Monday, bringing the total tally to 2,93,590 in the state.
On January 25, two new deaths were confirmed, bringing the overall tally to 1,592. The state’s fatality rate is 0.54%, which is less than the 1.4% national average.
As many as 38 new cases were reported in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation district, while Rangareddy reported 12 new cases.
The Telangana district is seeing an increase in incidents. MedchalMalkajgiri reported 11 cases, while 9 cases each were reported by Nalgonda and Warangal Urban.
On Monday, roughly 349 people recovered from the outbreak, raising the overall recovery count to 2,88,926. According to the government, the recovery rate now stands at 98.41%, which is around one percent higher than the national average of 96.9%.
On Monday, the government screened 29,449 people for the virus. There have been 77,11,810 samples checked in the state so far. Per million people, samples checked stand at 2,07,195. Even, there are 204 records awaited. At present, the state has 3,072 active cases.
1,543 of the estimated active cases are in home isolation. Of the overall positive cases, 70% are asymptomatic and do not have any significant symptoms of distress, while 30% are symptomatic.
Men between the ages of 31 and 40 correspond to 14.72 percent of the total incidents, according to the State Bulletin.
Women between the ages of 21 and 30 years make up 9.02 per cent of the overall incidents. Comorbidity-related deaths increased to 55.04 percent. 44.96% of victims did not have co-morbidities. (INN)
