Hyderabad: A total of 461 new cases of COVID-19, 617 discharges and three fatalities were recorded in Telangana, as on December 31, 2020, till 8 pm.
The estimated count of Coronavirus cases in the state has risen to 2,86,815, including 2,79,456 discharges and 1,544 fatalities, according to the state health department.
Currently, the active cases stand at 5, 815 with 1,544 registered deaths in Telangana until Thursday.
The recovery rate for Telangana is 97.43 percent and the case-fatality rate is 0.53 percent.
On Thursday, as many as 42,013 samples were examined and 3,674 patients were kept in home/institutional isolation.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, India has registered as many as 20,036 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of positive cases in the country to 1,02,86,710, as reported on Friday by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. (INN)
