Hyderabad: Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, on Sunday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum detailing the losses incurred by the state due to incessant rains in the state.
Speaking to media persons later, Rajendar and Mahmood Ali said that they had request the Centre to extend financial aid to compensate for losses due to damage to the standing crop and civic infrastructure like roads.
The Ministers said that the state has faced losses estimated to be over Rs 2,000 crore. The Centre has assured to extend aid, the ministers said. (INN)
