Telangana State seeks help of tech giant Microsoft in building the startup ecosystem in Hyderabad, and working on cloud enablement of small and medium enterprises to sustainable business environment.
Describing his meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka at T-Hub building Catalyst on Monday as “wonderful”, IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) said they explored several avenues of collaboration.
“They are already doing their bit through Microsoft ventures. We want to take their help in building the startup ecosystem here. He has shown a keen interest in the same,” KTR said in a release.
“We are also collaborating to work on the White space technology that Microsoft has been pioneering. We want to bridge the last mile connectivity problem, but Satya Nadella wants local entrepreneurs to come forward and partner with Microsoft for this technology”, added KTR.
In addition, the KCR led government is keen offering best education to children, and requested Microsoft to help digitize thousands of classrooms across the state.
As KTR introduced the Hyderabadi, Nadella said with a laugh that when he grew up here, there was no T-Hub. Probably, the closest to T was Hyderabad’s famous Tank bund.
About T-Hub, he said that it’s an amazing space for entrepreneurs and it’s also inspiring to see that the Telangana Government is trying to build such a brilliant facility for startups.
Mr. Nadella also spoke about the three important points to keep in mind for startups – to not lose out on the concept that drives them, capability that you need to build to chase after that concept, have that persistence and to curate the culture they drive in their organization on a constant basis.
