Hyderabad: Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao on Wednesday informed the Legislative Council that the tenders for Telangana Martyrs Monument at Hussainsagar will be called within two weeks.
In his reply to a question raised by TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar during Question Hour, the minister informed that the State Government had accorded Administrative Sanction of Rs. 80 on June 17, 2017 and also appointed appointed Joint Venture of M.V. Ramana Reddy-M/s Tanikella Integrated Consultants Pvt. Ltd.,
as consultants for the work. The consultant evolved the conceptual designs (like PRAMIDA) which were approved by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao. Tenders will be initiated within two weeks, he said.
Tummala said 3.29 Acres of land adjoining the Lumbini Park has been allotted, which is under the control of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.
The Roads & Buildings Dept., has requested the Commissioner, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority to hand over the land immediately. Soon after the land is taken over from Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, the work will be commenced and will be completed within 12 months. (INN)
