TRS Govt has damaged education system: Bhatti

Hyderabad: TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has accused the TRS Government of causing heavy damage to education system in Telangana State.

Addressing the 46th Formation Day celebrations of National Students Union of India (NSUI) at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, Bhatti alleged that the entire educational system has come to a standstill since TRS Government took over. He said it was during the Congress regime that Model Schools and Residential Schools were started.

He said except Osmania University, all other existing universities in the State were started by the Congress Governments. He said that the previous Congress regime introduced mid-day meal scheme, provided two uniforms to students, implemented Fee Reimbursement scheme and also introduced the Right to Education Act.

However, Bhatti alleged that only KCR and his family members were enjoying the power while depriving the common people of benefits of Telangana State.

He said that it was only Congress party which has protected the secularism in the country and took along all sections of the society such as SC, ST, BCs and minorities since independence. He asked the NSUI activists to take the Congress ideology among the people to ensure that the Congress returns to power in the 2019 elections in the State.

Former Union Minsiter Sarve Satyanarayana, in his speech, alleged that corruption was on the rise during TRS Government. He also alleged that KCR and family members themselves were involved in corruption.

Referring to minister K. Tarakarama Rao’s comments asking people to beat bribe seekers with slippers, he said that the time has come when people would throw slippers on KCR family for the corruption.

Sarve said that the TRS has won the elections due to manipulation in EVMs. He demanded that all elections in future should be held only through ballot.

Telangana Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav said KCR has employed all family members after coming to power. He said he even engaged his grandson by sending him as State’s representative in Shri Ramanavami celebrations at Bhadrachalam Temple. (INN)
