TRS MP seeks funds for Karimnagar Smart City project

Hyderabad: TRS MP B. Vinod Kumar on Friday met Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and requested him to release Rs. 1,878 crore for Karimnagar towards Smart Cities project.

Vinod also submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister on various proposals for the development of Karimnagar.

Speaking to media persons later, Vinod Kumar said that the Central Government has already included Karimnagar in the list of Smart Cities and a separate body was also created for the same.

He said various proposals have been discussed and finalised and now Central funds are required to implement those plans. He said that the Union Minister has assured that the funds would be released soon. (INN)
