Telangana State has added four new law colleges for academic year 2016-17, said Prof. Tummala Papi Reddy, Chairman of Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE).
There are a total of 22 law colleges in the newly formed state, including four university colleges. All the 22 colleges offer three year graduation course in law (LLB), with consolidated intake capacity of 3,320 students.
Five year graduation course in law is offered by 15 colleges having a total intake capacity of 1,740 students. Only 12 colleges offer post-graduation in law (LLM) and have a total intake capacity of 560 students.
In TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET for this academic year, 9,897 students qualified for three-year LLB, 2,811 for five-year LLB, and 1,620 for LLM.
