Replying to a question on the issue in the Legislative Council on Wednesday, the minister said that the government was improving facilities at market yards and took up various initiatives in this regard.
He said the government was committed to encourage fruit markets in the State in a big way and efforts were being made to set up a market yard at Shalibandaram.
The minister said that for Lemon Market Rs. 2 crore has been released and Rs. 1 crore for Mosambi Market at Nakirekal in Nalgonda. The minister also said MSP of Rs 5,200 per quintal is being given for Tur and 70 purchase centers were set up for the Tud dal. (INN)
