To achieve the target of enhanced production capacity to 67 million tonnes iron ore by 2021-22, there needs to be visible incremental increase in production in consecutive years.
NMDC needs to have a strategic vision and plan for the same,” the minister while advising the NMDC to get a strategic plan prepared for long term vision.
He emphasized on increasing the focus on explanation of all minerals not only in India but also overseas. He also stressed the importance of having slurry pipeline network to address the evacuation issue and this will also not only help the large steel makers but also the secondary steel producers.
Earlier, the NMDC CMD welcomed the Minister and said his maiden visit to NMDC Head office is a proud moment for all NMDCians. (INN)
