Hyderabad: The Royal Society (UK) and the Science and Engineering Board of India (SERB-INDIA) have selected Dr. Dinesh Kumar Ch, a former Kothari Fellow from the laboratory of Prof. S. Rajagopal at the Department of Plant Sciences , University of Hyderabad (UoH), for the Newton International Fellowship 2019.
Early-stage postdoctoral researchers are given the Newton International Fellowship to establish long-lasting partnerships with UK research institutions and networks.
The fellowship is highly competitive and, for a period of two years, Dr. Dinesh obtained a grant of £ 103,316.
After his two-year fellowship has been successfully completed, he will be further qualified for alumni follow-up to the fund to facilitate networking activities with UK-based researchers.
The fellowship would allow Dr. Dinesh to work in Prof. Dame Carol V Robinson’s laboratory, Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford, UK, for Doctor Lee. (INN)
